I've always been a designer, and since studying graphic design at college many moons ago I've enjoyed working in the creative industry, evolving and expanding my skill set through the changing times. All those years ago I had a clear vision of where my work life happiness would lie, and I’m happy and grateful to continue to work in an industry that I love.
I work independently as it means I can collaborate with other freelance friends and work on varied and inspiring projects that expand my creativity. By working across a range of industry sectors I have become skilled at listening, understanding niche requirements, and producing fitting design.
Over the years I'm proud to have supported a diverse range of businesses with everything from publishing and print to advertising, direct mail, digital and web design.
My work ethos
It is so important to me that I offer clients great value for money. I work quickly and efficiently producing excellent and professional work, and although I’m very focused on detail I apply a ‘big picture approach’ right from the start. This means that I understand your goals and objectives, and what makes you, your business and your customers tick. This saves us both time and money as I endeavour to deliver exactly what you need first time, with few changes required.
I like to keep clients well informed and, while keeping the process as simple as possible, I enjoy educating people as we work together, demonstrating how ‘branding’ is more than just a logo and showing you how you can make the best use of your new visual identity.
Further to this, I can help you and your team to apply your brand independently. I teach beginners how to use Adobe Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, and more in-depth graphic design workshops as and when required.
My key values
Clear communication, authenticity, honesty and transparency in all walks of life are all very important to me, as is kindness to all living things. I believe creativity comes in all forms and have lots of other ‘creative’ interests outside graphic design, such as holistic health and wellbeing, spending time outside in nature, gardening and growing my own food, caring for my pets and loving all animals, as well as doing regular exercise including yoga, qigong and meditation.
